We only speed up when e-biking and when it comes to the perfect service in our hotel in Lüsen. We take the rest slowly up here at 1,600 metres above sea level. At Alpe di Rodengo/Rodenecker Alm and Alpe di Luson/Lüsner Alm, the clocks tick at your holiday pace – leisurely, enjoyably, gently. Take all the time in the world and simply enjoy nature. The area that frames our boutique hotel in the Dolomites is a small paradise for those who long for mountain sports.
In winter, you can hike for kilometres in the impressive silence of snowy landscapes, under azure blue skies, and brilliant winter sun. Far away from the hubbub of ski resorts, you can really appreciate tobogganing, cross-country skiing, ski tours, snowshoeing, and winter hiking. If you long to be off on the slopes, you can reach Plose skiing area in just 30 minutes by car, Gitschberg Jochtal skiing area in 45 minutes by car and Val Gardena/Gröden or Plan de Corones/Kronplatz in one hour.
In spring, the eternal expanse, mild sun, and sunshine is so good for the soul after a long winter. Nature awakens and the air smells of alpine roses and gentians – perfect for a lovely valley hike or alpine pasture hike. As always, you can start directly from our boutique hotel in the Dolomites. The annual natural spectacle of crocus blossoms on Alpe di Luson/Lüsner and Alpe di Rodengo/Rodenecker Alm shows off a white-purple sea of flowers like something out of a fairytale. It’s absolutely worth seeing!
In summer, you have to go higher to really cool down. That's why it’s the best time for summit tours and via ferratas. For ambitious hikers, head for Puez-Odle Nature Park to the summit of Sass de Putia/Peitlerkofel. A less strenuous way to cool off is to take a dip in the natural bathing pond in Lüsen, not far from our boutique hotel in the Dolomites.
Autumn on Alpe di Rodengo/Rodenecker Alm and Alpe di Luson/Lüsner Alm is especially famous for its larches. They turn the largest high alpine pasture in Europe into a large, orange/golden sea of colour. Moreover, the sky above our boutique hotel in the Dolomites is even clearer and bluer than usual in autumn. Nevertheless, the temperatures remain wonderfully mild. What ideal conditions for a moderately difficult alpine pasture hike!
